Sunday Sketch Challenge # 200 & Blog Hop

     Good Morning,
I hope you remembered to put your clocks forward! I find it so confusing when some clocks, phone, laptop alter automatically. I thought it was 9.45 when I crawled out of bed this morning to find the cooker clock saying 8.45, could've stayed in bed a while longer.

However I needed to make sure this post went live on time this morning as teams 1 & 2 have joined together this week at Sunday Sketch & Stamp as we are celebrating having reached a milestone, 200 challenges.

Also joining in the celebration are a couple of past DT members well known in blog land to bring you our
BIRTHDAY BLOG HOP.

If you've arrived here from Louise's blog then you're on the right track - if not, you might want to go back to the Sunday Sketch and Stamp challenge blog and start from the beginning.

This weeks challenge is to use any of the past 199 sketches to make your card which should be linked up on the challenge blog before 11.59pm on Saturday 5th April .

 I have chose Sketch #180 (Francesca's sketch)

and this is what I did with it:

I do so love the Winnie & Walter images that are printable from the Double Sprinkle of Krafts CD at Polkadoodles. Coloured with markers and a touch of glamour dust then matted and layered onto brown card to match the other layers. The papers are from a pack of 12x12's from MME

Don't forget to leave a comment at each stop as there are some hidden prizes along the which have been provided by:

http://www.mymumscraftshop.co.uk/               I Design for            and

as well as some mystery prizes!!!!
There are 3 prizes hidden along the way which could be won by anyone who leaves a comment - but no-one knows where the prizes are, so you must make sure you visit and comment on everyone's blog. Then there are another 3 prizes for everyone who joins in with the 'Any past sketch challenge'. So - if you join in with the hop and the challenge, you could win more than one prize!!

Here's to the next 200 challenges!!
Your next stop is Kitty.

FSC #66

Good Morning,
Friday here again which means it's nearly the weekend. Have you got anything planned?
My Daughter has invited my Mum, Sister and family, Son and family & Daughter over for Sunday dinner. Her and her boyfriend are cooking a roast dinner which will be a treat for us all for Mothering Sunday. The only trouble is I will have to pack all my crafty stuff away and move my storage unit out so everyone can get round the table. Still it will be worth the effort.

Friday also means a new challenge over at
Alison has given us this super sketch to play with:

I decided to use a Christmas image from Wee Stamps. I need to catch up with my fellow blogging buddies, some are into double figures all ready, this is my first!

The papers were freebies with a magazine several years ago & these have been mounted onto red card. The sentiment was computer generated & a ribbon was added. The image was coloured with markers and a touch of glamour dust was added.

This fortnight we are giving away a £5 Gift Voucher for Polka Doodles

Hop on over to the new look challenge blog for more ideas how to use the sketch.

Beautiful Borders @ TPC

Good Morning to you all,
Yesterday was so windy I wonder if today's going to be the same. It was good cause the washing dried once I'd managed to hang it out.

Wendy is hosting the new challenge over at
and has chosen
Beautiful Borders
as the theme.

This challenge is being sponsored by

who's offering the lucky winner of this weeks challenge a grab bag.

I have used a Sponsors image 'Valentine Girl Rose Hat' which I took over to Photoshop and added a sentiment to the heart. I thought this image was ideal for a Mothers Day Card but could also be used for almost any occasion. The image was coloured with markers and glitter was added to the frill on the heart and round the edge of the image mat. The border was cut using a Spellbinders edge ability die to which I added a strip of the backing paper and a ribbon/bow. The paper is one I printed off some time ago I think, but am not sure that it was from a Do Crafts CD. All the mats and the pearls are deep purple but has not photographed very well and looks black.

Hop on over to the main challenge blog to see more beautiful borders

Photo Inspiration @ MAWTT

Good Morning crafters,
Hope you are all well, big hugs to those of you that need one.

Pami is hostess this week with Team A playing along over at
Moving Along With The Times
The theme this week is some photo inspiration, here is the photo:

Here is my card, I chose to use the colours in the photo on my card. However you can interpret this anyway you like, maybe springtime or Easter etc.

I have used Bucket of Roses Delight from Ladybug Crafts Ink. I printed this onto a piece of card along with the sentiment so that I could cut it out to a 5.5 inch square. This was then mounted onto a piece of black card before mounting onto the card blank. The image was coloured with markers. The fishtail banners were cut on the silhouette then added to the card. I finished off the card by adding a few pearls and doodling round the edge of the card and fishtails. I was quite pleased how this one turned out and made several in different colour ways.

Hopefully you will join in the challenge this week which you can find here

Female Birthday @ TPC

Good Morning crafters,
Nearly the weekend, I hope you all have something nice planned.

A new challenge is beginning today with Cathy hosting & Team B playing along over at
Cathy has chosen:
Female Birthday
and would like to see sentiments/numbers on your creation suitable for the theme.

The challenge is sponsored by Inky Impressions
The prize being a $10 gift certificate to spend in our on-line store.

The DT were given an image of their choice to make their card, I chose Fairy Sitting on Clothespin I love this image & couldn't resist using it.

I needed to make a card for my Mum from my Grandchildren Alisha(10 years) & Harvey(1 month). This was the ideal challenge so I took the opportunity & killed 2 birds with 1 stone.
The image was coloured with  markers & chalks, then glossy accents were added to the berries and glamour dust to the lace on the dress & the wings. The papers are some I've had forever & were free in a mag. The sentiment was computer generated which I decided to cut out separately in a fishtail shape. Organza ribbon was applied to the card base and a bow, with a pearly heart was added.

That's all from me today, got to get ready to go see the GP then to the hospital for my 2nd treatment.
Have a great weekend everyone!

I would like to enter:

Crafty Creations Challenge - Happy Birthday
Craft Your Passion - Birthday Bonanza
Glitter & Sparkle - Add a Sentiment
Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge - Birthday Challenge

Moody Blue @ MAWTT

Good morning my crafty friends,
Hope you are all well and enjoying the start of spring.

There's a new challenge starting over at
The lovely Debs is hosting the challenge this week and has chosen
MOODY BLUES
and has given us this mood board to get those creative juices flowing
So we would like to see your blue coloured creations.
I do not find colour themed challenges easy. But at the end of the day it's supposed to be a challenge, and if we found every theme easy it wouldn't be a challenge, would it?

I started by getting all the blue papers out of my scrap box and decided which ones I was going to use. I chose a 'Stamping Bella Uptown Girl' image called 'Victoria and Juliette's Night Out', I do like this image, so many possibilities. This time I decided to paper piece the dresses & the rest of the image was coloured with markers & a little chalk. I used glossy accents on the glasses & blue frantage powder round the image. All layers have been mounted onto a pearly black card which was also used to die cut the border (spellbinder) leaves (MB). The flowers have been die cut/punched (crafts too, friskars punch) out of a vellum and  a mixture of pearls & gems have been added to the centres.

I hope you will join in the challenge this week.
