Cats

Good Morning fellow crafters,

Today see's the start of a new challenge over at

This week Janice is the hostess and has chosen a theme that is dear to her heart
'CATS'
Not only does she want to see your wonderful creations but she would also like see photos of your puss cat if you have one.
Here's mine:
Very like the cat on my card don't you think?

And here's my card:

The image is a decoupage sheet from Paper Nations - Little Pussycat Girl. I'm pleased to say I'm still using up paper I've had printed off for a long time and doing quite well, how long I'll manage to keep going I don't know but hopefully the box will stay shut shortly!. The sentiment is computer generated. Die cuts are from MB.

There is also this super Puss Cat stamp up for grabs this week.

Why not hop on over to the main challenge blog where you can find lots of great ideas plus links to the teams blogs where you can visit to see their Puss Cats.

Have a great day!

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #190

Good Morning,

I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge over at Sunday sketch & stamp
I have designed this week's sketch & would love to see your interpretation.

Here is my take on the sketch:

I have used an image printed from the 'Me to You (ETY) all occasions CD from Do Crafts. I know the challenge requires stamping that's why I stamped the HAPPY & Birthday. I added some glamour dusted butterflies that I cut on the silhouette.

I would love you to come & join in this week.
You can find the challenge blog here

FSC #61

Good Morning my crafty friends,

Off to the hospital for a review of my treatment this morning. 5th treatment is due on Monday which will leave just one more mid Feb, how quick has that gone!

My DT commitments have been a god send as they have made me make the effort to craft. Without my DT work I don't think I would find the motivation to create anything.
So THANK YOU to all the DT teams that have been so understanding.

Friday Sketch  Challenge has a new sketch for you to play with this next fortnight which the lovely Kelly has designed

We are sponsored this challenge by:
Tiddly Inks Acrylic and Digital Stamps
a $5 Gift Certificate is up for grabs

I have used Wryn with a cherry on top from this weeks sponsor, how sweet is she!

I used markers to colour her in, not sure if it's the paper I have printed the image on or whether I need to replace the nibs on my markers but the skin tones have not blended very well. Any ideas would be gratefully received.
I used viva pearls for the icing and paper pieced the cupcake case.
The papers are some 2" strips I brought some time ago (scrap box a bit emptier)
The ribbon is recycled from the packaging of a blanket.
The hearts were cut on the silhouette & the corners are a MB die.

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for lots of super ideas.

Have a great day!

It's Winter Wonderland @Totally PaperCrafts

Good Morning,

It's time for team B's first challenge of 2014 over at Totally PaperCrafts

The lovely Lisa is hostess this week and has chosen the theme

'Winter Wonderland'

I have used a Stamp Fairy image which I coloured with markers & added lots of glamour dust.
The papers are from HOTP and have been mounted onto black card. The sentiment is computer generated. The snowflakes are cut using a Spellbinders die, glittered, layered and have gems added.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

New Beginnings @ MAWTT

Good Morning,

Hope everyone is well & managing to keep dry & warm!
To be quite honest I do not go out unless I have to or my Sister insists, which I feel may be the case today!

Anyway, over at Moving Along With The Times Kelly is hosting the challenge this week and has chosen a great theme:

'NEW BEGININGS'
so baby card, new home, new job ect.

Here's what I came up with:

Image & sentiment - LOTV
Papers - from scrap box (doing well so far, just need to keep going!)
Colouring medium - markers & chalks
Large flower & leaves - MB Die
Mounts - Kraft card

As I'm always needing to top up my box with baby cards I decided to make another one in another colour option. More papers gone from my scrap box!!!!!!

I hope you can join in this week.  Pop on over to the main challenge blog for all the details and some more inspiration from the Design Team.

Songbird Challenge #31: Happy New Year

I have been a rubbish blogger recently, only posting DT cards, and a couple of them have been late!

I have also been an equally bad commenter. I do come visit your blogs but never seem to have the energy to do much more than that! I even realised the other day that I did not post any festive wishes to my much valued followers, so here goes:

Hope you all have a very happy 2014.

Talking of New Year, that's the theme for the new challenge over at Songbird Challenge.
Here my card:

I used a Spellbinder die that I cut out and embossed 6x then linked them together to form a panel for the top of my card. I then used a piece of embossed paper at the bottom of the card to which I added a sentiment that was cut on the silhouette. A ribbon was applied across the join, tucking this behind the black matt before being added to the card blank. A bow, flowers, leaves, beads and a butterfly was added for that finishing touch. I was quite pleased with the outcome.

Hop on over to the challenge blog for more super examples from the talented team.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #188

Good Morning,

I'm here on time today with my DT card for Sunday Sketch & Stamp!

This week we have a super sketch for you to play with from the lovely Sam
I am determined to use up some papers I have printed off but not used. My box file I store them in is bursting open! These ones were printed from a Do Crafts CD - Pampered Pets.
The plain paper was embossed with a cuttlebug border folder, not sure what it's called.

The digi was printed off in greyscale to which I added a touch of colour to the flowers in her hair and glitter to her wings. I used a pearlescent grey card to mat all layers onto.

FSC #60

Good Morning my crafty friends,

Not sure where this last week has gone! Since my last treatment on Monday 27th I seem to have slept constantly, can't physically keep my eyes open. Got all my DT cards done prior to the treatment so as to be organised but forgot to post this yesterday, how bad is that!!!!

Anyway I'm here now with my creation for the new challenge over at Friday Sketch Challenge using this super sketch designed by the lovely Claudia

We are sponsored by the fabby Meljens Designs

$5.00 Gift Certificate - Click Image to Close

I have used an image from Meljens - Big Sweater Kid which I have coloured with Copics.
I then used a craft knife to rough up the edges before distressing with TH ink

The papers are all printed from the Do Crafts CD - Wellington Past Times Collection which again was roughed up and distressed as per the image. The sentiment was from the same CD and was added to the paper before printing off. Brown card was used to mount all layers on before adding to the card blank. How simple was that!
This image can be coloured in your fav teams colours and is great for all ages.

To enter this fortnights challenge all you need to do is, create a card using this week's sketch. You can flip, rotate or use as is, adding embellies where you wish.
Hop on over to the challenge blog for more great ideas.
