It's Sketchy @ MAWTT

Good Morning Afternoon,
As publish this did not. Not sure whether it was my fault or Mr Blogger.

Today I am here to tell you new challenge at
We have a sketch for you this week from the lovely Hazel:

It's a super sketch with so many possibilities.
Here is what I did with the sketch:

The image is from Passion for Stamps & is called 'Cosmos'. I added the sentiment before printing off making sure it would fit the circle die I intended to use. I then printed off the flower heads again which I cut out and layered up to give a bit of dimension. The image was coloured with markers and distress stickles were added to the flower heads which unfortunately changed the colour slightly. The papers are from Shabby Princess and were a free download some time ago but possibly still available

Laurie has very kindly put up this lovely embellishment set  as prize this week
So hop on over to the challenge blog for more great inspiration from my talented teamies and get those entries in. Can't wait to see your creations!

Patchwork Patti

Good Afternoon,

Well I've been out for a fish & chip lunch with my Mum & Sister today. I've decided to make the most of being off work now I'm feeling a bit better, plus it gives me a bit of a routine. Staying at home all the while means there's nothing to get ready for so it's lunchtime before I'm up and dressed.

Today I have a card to share with you that I made yesterday for the DT call over @ Songbird Challenges. The papers are a bit more daring than my usual stay safe polka dots, checks or embossed papers and to be quite honest I'm not sure about it!

The papers are a digi print & were a free download from The Shabby Princess. They are beautiful designs but so different to what I usually use.

The image is Patchwork Patti from Sheri Baldy which I have coloured with markers and chalks, isn't she just so cute

The flowers are a mixture of brought (all the cream ones) & handmade (the blue ones are torn & rolled) and I must say, ones I make regularly as they are easy to do and I think they are effective.
I've embellished with some papermania heart shaped pearly gems, a MB corner die which I also used to add detail to the flowers with some of the curly bits & some seam binding.

Just 2 more sleeps before MAWTT's challenge returns after their summer hols!!!

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #173

Good Morning everyone,

I've been absent for a while now due to having been in hospital, my last few posts have been scheduled which appear to have gone live as per my instructions to Mr Blogger!
I received good news this week when I went to see the doctor for my results. The surgery was successful & I just need some preventative treatment but not sure what that will be at this moment.
I can't wait to get back to blogging and visiting all you lovely people, however at the moment I am up & down the hospital & doctors most days which sounds silly but takes up most of my time.

Any way down to business!
There's a new challenge starting over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp.
This week I have designed the sketch which is nice and simple.
I can't wait to see what you create using it.

Here is what I created:

Colouring medium - markers, chalks & glitter
Papers - Shabby Princess
Flowers - Double layer of die cut & punched flowers with viva pearl centres

Sunday Sketch Challenge #169

Good Morning,

I must say I am getting quite used to being at home and not rushing off to work every morning. I've now been off just over 4 weeks and have more surgery planned on the 20th August. I have been told that I will be off work for at least 4 weeks after my next op and will probably not be able to craft for a while:( I have been busy this last week trying to get all my DT cards made and scheduled up till the middle of September, I've never been so organised!! I hope Mr Blogger behaves now!!!

I must apologise for not commenting on your beautiful creations of late.
But let me reassure you I have been to visit you all.
I am hoping to take my laptop in with me, fingers crossed they'll let me use it.

There's a new challenge starting today over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp with this super sketch by the lovely Ann Marie for us to follow

Here's my card following the sketch:

I have used a  image from Tiddly Inks - Wryn Blooms which I coloured with Copics & chalks. The papers are from The Shabby Princess from 2 different collections in the free download section. In a graphics programme I picked the colour from the backing paper to print off a piece of plain yellow paper. I used this to cut out a circle which I embossed to mat on top of the Spellbinders fancy circle die that was distressed with Tea Dye distress ink. The image was then cut out and mounted on top of the circle. The sentiment is one I've had printed off a while, I think it was from a Do crafts CD.

Why not hop on over to the main challenge blog for more details of this week's challenge and some great inspiration from my teamies.
