Oh Christmas Tree

Good Morning my crafty friends,

Still making Christmas cards to send out. A bit late but have been so busy with orders I'm behind with my own. I have been having a little play with a Woodware stamp purchased at the craft fair at the NEC. I heat embossed the stamp  with a platinum WOW powder. Then cosmic shimmer clear glue was used to apply glamour dust to the different size circles.

The panel was then added to a square silver mirri mat with a further panel being added to which a ribbon and bow was added. I think, although this card is quite simple it is stylish.

Have a good evening!

Snow is falling

Good Morning crafty buddies,
A cold one here in Northampton, but good news, there's no snow here!

I thought I would share a card with you this morning that I made for an order that was picked up last night. Thankfully it was a hit :)
It's been a long while since I made a card this shape but I was quite pleased with how it turned out

I have used the Do crafts  - Woodland Friends CD again to print off the image and papers. There are some really sweet images on this CD for all occasions. I cut out the image then added glossy accents to the berries and glitter to the mouses hat, this was then added to the card with foam pads. The sentiment was computer generated and mounted onto silver mirri. To finish off, a couple of glittered snowflakes were added to embellish.

Have a good weekend.

Friday Sketch Challenge #84

Good Morning,

I am here today to share a card I made using the new sketch over at

I have used an All Dressed Up image  called Happy Birthday that was free on their FB page isn't she a sweetie!
The image was coloured with markers and chalks with a touch of glitter added in several places.

The floral paper was a freebie also, in a                                                  magazine ages ago. I do so like a freebie
I'm sure you do too!
A cuttlebug folder called swiss dots created the embossed paper.

My Sister & Me

Good Evening Lovely Peeps,
Well I survived my first day on my new ward today, lots to take in, head spinning so came home for a bit of crafty time to chill. May even have a baileys!

But first I thought I would share a CAS card I made last week using Uptown Sushi Girls Stamping Bella. The image was coloured with markers and a touch of chalk. The 2 brown shopping bags were paper pieced with brown parcel paper.

The wording was computer generated using a quote I see on a blog some time ago. Unfortunately I cannot remember which one so am unable to give credit to that person. If anyone can help with this please let me know and I will add the link.

Have a good evening everyone, I'm off for a tipple now!

FSC #83

Good Morning,

Black Friday today, hope you've all bagged a bargain. My Daughter was out queuing at the crack of dawn as she wanted a 40" TV and a tablet. She got both and my Christmas pressie:)

Today the challenge at Friday Sketch Challenge has one week left to run.
The prize on offer is a Christmas Gift Box!
To be in with a chance of winning here is the sketch you need to follow:

and here is my interpretation:

The craft card base has been embossed using a crafters companion folder then inked with distress ink.
Three strips of K & Company paper was added after having the ends trimmed in a fishtail shape.
The sentiments were computer generated, cut and mounted onto/behind kraft card mount/frame.
The flowers were die cut/punched and layered up and a viva pearl center.
The butterfly was cut on the silhouette, inked and viva pearls added to the body.

I was quite pleased with the out come so made another one very similar but flipped the sketch.
Not sure which one I like best!

I like working with sketches as it makes you use a layout that you wouldn't otherwise use.
Hop on over and add your entry using the sketch.

Grace is 1

Good Evening crafty friends,
It's been a long time since I posted in the evening, usually a bit dozy after a day at work. I am going to try and be a better blogger both posts and commenting.

Thought I would share a card I made for an order a couple of week's ago.
I used Digital Designer Forever Friends Celebration CD to print off the images after adding text to the balloon. I then cut round the image leaving a small white border which I raised using foam pads onto a white mat.

The backing paper was embossed using spellbinders dainty dots folder.
The name was cut on the silhouette.

I would like to enter:

Friday Sketch Challenge #82

Good Morning,
Spent yesterday at the NEC stocking up my stash. I went with my fellow work mate to get supplies and ideas for projects for our service users to work on. Can't wait to start making the samples.

has a fab new sketch for you to play with that Lesley has created for us

We have a fab prize too

This fortnight we are giving away a £5 Gift Certificate to Digi Stamp Boutique:

I have used one of their Christmas images, the super cute Waddle & Xmas pud. It comes with 3 more cute penguin images.

The papers are from a HOTP pad that I've had for a while but never wanted to use! The sentiment was cut on the silhouette in a pearly white paper with a black shadow. The holly was die cut using a Crafters Companion that has been glittered and small red pearls used for the berries. The image was coloured with markers then glamour dust was added to the hat and viva pearls painted onto the puds topping.

Hope you will come a play along with us this week.

Friday Sketch Challenge #81

Good Morning my lovely cratfy friends,

This post should have gone live yesterday morning but silly me did not hit the publish button.
I did not realise till this morning as I came home from work last night and thought I would have a little lay down on my bed. What a joke that was, I woke up this morning with a cold cuppa on my bed side table, no dinner or programmes. Must have needed it!!

There's a new challenge starting over at

I have used it rotated.

I was given an image to use on my card Two mice with a can phone, how adorable are these two.

The patterened papers are New Leaf from First Edition
The embossed paper was created using Hessian folder from Crafters Companion the inked.
The flowers and leaves are punched and die cut with a mix of gems and pearls for the centers.

It's a White Christmas @ MAWTT

Good Morning,
It's been a long time since I last posted, in fact it's been a long time since I've been on my laptop. I've been busy decorating my room and building furniture. Then just as I'm ready to start moving in I go get ill! Sore throat & cold which has gone to my head leaving me with a pounding headache and blocked ears. I can't believe I have not made a card for nearly 2 weeks.

White Christmas
is the theme that the lovely Wendy has chosen for us this week over at
Moving Along With The Times

a true challenge for me as I have tried this theme several times but have never succeeded in producing an end product

I have used a cut file that my Daughter designed to cut out the snowflake on the silhouette. This was mounted onto a piece of white glitter card and a piece of card candi was added to the center of the snowflake. The sentiment was computer generated and mounted onto 2 mats and added to the card with foam pads.

Hop on over to see more white on white from the talented DT here

The lovely Janice has chosen a great theme this week over at
Moving Along With The Times
bet you've guessed from my title what she has chosen

'Hedgehogs'
