MAWTT Back to School

Good Evening,

I am so late posting this to let you know there is a new challenge starting over at
Moving Along With The Times
The theme this fortnight is
Back to School
Reason being my Daughter landed a job designing in India how fantastic is that. It happened so fast I have been busy getting her ready to go and going to the airport which was very emotional. But I'm here now things have calmed down.

Halloween @ Dream Valley

Good Evening everyone,

Bit late with my post today , very busy weekend and forgot to schedule this, then came home from work shattered and feel asleep. I think I'm awake now!

Had a bit of a nightmare since my last post, what another one I hear you say.
Went out for lunch and a bit of shopping with my lovely sister, came home 5 hours later to discover I had left the kitchen tap running with both plugs shut.
Flooded the downstairs, all floor coverings removed, worktops kick-boards and a couple of units need replacing as do the skirting boards. Humidifiers been running since the 3rd, it's like being on a airport runway so am living in my bedroom at the minute.
Could have been worse, it could have been dirty water!

Enough of that, now what I'm her for is, there's a new challenge starting today over at
The theme is:
Halloween

Image - tiddlyinks - Spell on Ya!
Colured with - Markers, glitter & viva pearls
Sentiment - Printed from Do Crafts CD
Webs cut on Cameo and glittered
Lace and paper roses to finish

This challenge is being sponsored by:
Imagine That

Hop on over to see what spooky creations the rest of the team have created.

Not sure what happened there, thought I had posted this yesterday

FSC #61

Good Morning my crafty friends,

Off to the hospital for a review of my treatment this morning. 5th treatment is due on Monday which will leave just one more mid Feb, how quick has that gone!

My DT commitments have been a god send as they have made me make the effort to craft. Without my DT work I don't think I would find the motivation to create anything.
So THANK YOU to all the DT teams that have been so understanding.

Friday Sketch  Challenge has a new sketch for you to play with this next fortnight which the lovely Kelly has designed

We are sponsored this challenge by:
Tiddly Inks Acrylic and Digital Stamps
a $5 Gift Certificate is up for grabs

I have used Wryn with a cherry on top from this weeks sponsor, how sweet is she!

I used markers to colour her in, not sure if it's the paper I have printed the image on or whether I need to replace the nibs on my markers but the skin tones have not blended very well. Any ideas would be gratefully received.
I used viva pearls for the icing and paper pieced the cupcake case.
The papers are some 2" strips I brought some time ago (scrap box a bit emptier)
The ribbon is recycled from the packaging of a blanket.
The hearts were cut on the silhouette & the corners are a MB die.

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for lots of super ideas.

Have a great day!

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #183

Good Morning my crafty friends, hope you are all having a good weekend.

I had a busy day yesterday baking and sewing up Aran cardigans that my Mum has knitted for  us all. She knits them beautifully but reckons she can't sew up, so I get a bag full of bits to sew up for her. I must say I really don't enjoy the task and really have to make myself do it, I'd much rather be chopping paper up! Any way enough waffle.

Today Sunday Sketch & Stamp has a new challenge set by the lovely Anne Marie with this super sketch:

 Here's my interpretation:

Image - Tiddlyinks - Wryn Birthday Girl
Colouring medium - Copics & chalks
Papers - Dovecraft 'Garden Party'
Sentiment - Computer generated
Die - Spellbinders

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #175

Good Morning,

Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far.

I am here with my DT card for Sunday Sketch & Stamp.
Our lovely Kim has given us a great sketch to work with this week, with so many possibilities!

We have Crafty Ribbons sponsoring us this week

Crafty Ribbons

Here is my card using a Freebie from Wee Stamps Love Birds. The sentiment was added in the heart by me in Photoshop  prior to printing off.

I printed the image off twice & coloured in with copics & chalks. I then cut out a set of birds and the flowers which I layered onto the base image after giving them a bit of shape. Viva pearls were used in the center of the flowers and to the dots in the image.

Pampered Pets paper was used for the base mat, scalloped circle & the corners. A piece of  white paper embossed with the Dainty Dots folder from spellbinder was added to the base mat. A piece of organza ribbon was wrapped around this before sticking to the card base.

To finish the corners were added as was the image and a bow, simples!!!!

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for more super duper  inspiration.

Have a great day, enjoy!!!!

Sunday Sketch Challenge #169

Good Morning,

I must say I am getting quite used to being at home and not rushing off to work every morning. I've now been off just over 4 weeks and have more surgery planned on the 20th August. I have been told that I will be off work for at least 4 weeks after my next op and will probably not be able to craft for a while:( I have been busy this last week trying to get all my DT cards made and scheduled up till the middle of September, I've never been so organised!! I hope Mr Blogger behaves now!!!

I must apologise for not commenting on your beautiful creations of late.
But let me reassure you I have been to visit you all.
I am hoping to take my laptop in with me, fingers crossed they'll let me use it.

There's a new challenge starting today over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp with this super sketch by the lovely Ann Marie for us to follow

Here's my card following the sketch:

I have used a  image from Tiddly Inks - Wryn Blooms which I coloured with Copics & chalks. The papers are from The Shabby Princess from 2 different collections in the free download section. In a graphics programme I picked the colour from the backing paper to print off a piece of plain yellow paper. I used this to cut out a circle which I embossed to mat on top of the Spellbinders fancy circle die that was distressed with Tea Dye distress ink. The image was then cut out and mounted on top of the circle. The sentiment is one I've had printed off a while, I think it was from a Do crafts CD.

Why not hop on over to the main challenge blog for more details of this week's challenge and some great inspiration from my teamies.

For You Mum

Evening All,

Hope you've all had a good weekend. The weather here in Northampton is rather wet but luckily no thunder storms thank goodness!

I would like to say hello to Sarah who has kindly chosen to follow me, hope you won't be disappointed!

My card today is one I made for my lovely Mum for Mother's Day, as you may recall from a previous post she likes simple & pink so here it is:

The image is from Tiddlyinks and is called 'Bloom Beautifully' .  I coloured the image with Copics & chalks & added glitter to the butterfly for a bit of sparkle. I sized the image to fit inside a 5.5inch piece of card and positioned this to the right hand side. I then added the stem of flowers with the butterfly on top near Emma so that it looked as if she'd picked the flowers she is holding. The sentiment was then added to the top left. After printing off it was cut out and matted onto a slightly larger piece of black card then onto a 6" scalloped square card

Enjoy your Sunday Evening everyone!

I would like to enter:

One Stop Craft Challenge - add some glitter

Bloom Beautifully

I recently bought this digi after browsing your lovely blogs and discovered tiddlyinks images actually come in digi form, don't know why I thought they were only available in rubber.. I went over to their store where it took me ages to decide which one to purchase, so many great images I could have gone wild.
Anyway I really enjoyed colouring in this image so went a little wild and coloured in several!
This one I used copics, her dress & bows are several shades of yellow & on her dress I used the clear ink to remove some of the colour to give a spotty effect. The flowers were coloured with a small amount of the same yellow picked upon the tip of the clear pen to give a really soft touch
