Friday Sketch Challenge #77

Good Morning my crafty friends,
Nearly the weekend, yippee!! Don't know why but this week has really been hard going. Still 1 more week at work then I've got 2 weeks off. My plan is to get my Sons bedroom that he vacated in January decorated and made into my craft room, can't wait. Think I'm gonna get the furniture from Ikea but I'm open to suggestions.

Here is this week's sketch over at
it was designed by me, I hope you like it.
The challenge is being sponsored by Flat Friends, I have used one of their images which is called 'Walkies' and can be found here

I used 'Breath Fresh Air Too' digi papers from nitwits. I shrunk down the paper to paper piece the dress and colour picked some plain pink for the belt. The rest of the image was coloured with markers, chalks and some glossy accents.

Have a lovely day!

Welcome Toby!

Good Afternoon,

I hope you are all enjoying the long weekend.
I've had family round for meals both Saturday & Sunday so having a rest today along with a bit of crafting.
Here's a card I made for a customer who regularly emails me a brief , I hope she likes it!

The image is form the Louie Love collection from DigiStamp Boutique. I coloured him with markers and a little chalk and paper pieced the hearts with baby's name printed on a piece of shrunk down backing paper. Both sentiments and the image was printed and cut on the silhouette. The white banner was then embossed with the swiss dots folder. The backing paper was digi printed from a Do Crafts CD.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

MAWTT has gone Vintage

Good Morning everyone,

I'm here with something a little different today.
The theme this fortnight over at Moving Along With The Times is:
"Vintage"
Not my usual style, but hey it's a challenge!

I decided to make a wall hanging, something I've wanted to do for a while but never got round to.

The papers are from Raspberry Road called Timeless Victorian. I printed the sentiment onto the teal paper  and cut the 'Laugh' out on the silhouette in the same font. All layers have had distress ink applied and torn in places to give them an aged look. I then used some homemade texture paste through a stencil for a bit of interest. The flower was made using a scalloped circle die which I inked, wet and layered up with a brad to hold them together. Each layer was them scrunched up till I got the look I wanted. When dry the paper stiffens to give a nice firm finished piece.. Pleated vintage ribbon was also added between the layers for a bit of extra texture.

Why not go see what my teamies have created here

Have a great day!

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #214

Good Evening my crafty friends,
Hope you've all had a good weekend.
I've had a busy one, that's why I'm late with this post. I have been out all day at a fund raiser to send some local dancers abroad to represent England in a competition. I had a stall to sell some of my cards, didn't do too bad but never seem to have what people want!

Anyway, I'm here know to share my DT card made following this fortnights fabby sketch over at
Sunday Sketch and Stamp
that the lovely Louise has designed for us

I needed some male cards so used a Kenny K image for my card called Teen Idol.
He was coloured with markers after being printed and cut on the silhouette

The papers are a selection from the Bear Boys Too digi collection from Nitwits. All layers have been matted onto black  card and the stars are cut on the silhouette from the same black card.

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for more super ideas from the rest of the team.

Must dash as I'm heading off to work.

Have a great weekend everyone!
