Dream Valley - Use the colour of your flag

Good morning,

It's  been ages since I last posted, don't know where the time is going this year!
I know I keep running out of it and never get done what I plan to do.

There's new challenge starting today at

The theme being:
The colour of your flag
as I am from the UK mine is red, white & blue.

I used a Saturated Canary image which was a freebie a while ago. I printed it off when I  got but only just got round to colouring it up. I used markers and a touch of chalk to colour in the image and added viva pearls to her ear rings. The papers are from the Portobello Road collection.

Please come and join in this fab challenge here
The Prize is 3 Digital Stamps from the Angie's Cards and Digis Shop

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp with this super sketch that Anne Marie has designed for us to play with

I have used 'Muriel' from Saturated Canary for my card which I have coloured with markers.
All mats & layers were cut on the silhouette and the sentiment and image was printed and cut on it.

The pinky/peach papers are Garden Party from Dovecraft & the dotty one was printed from a Kirsty Wiseman CD possibly Colour Me Crazy.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #185

Morning my crafty friends,

How chilly is it at the moment? I was so cold on Friday afternoon the only way I could get warm was to lay under the duvet. The only trouble is, I then fell  asleep.

The reason I'm here today is to tell you there is a new challenge starting over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp. Kim has given us a great sketch to play with & here it is:
What a great sketch Kim!
You can embellish and add a sentiment as you wish.
Here's what I did with sketch:

Did you notice that I rotated the sketch?
Reason being I stuck the lines on not realising the birds were laying on their sides. I was going to try and remove them but thought it would be easier to rotate.

Image - Saturated Canary 'Thank You'
Colouring medium - Copics & Chalks
Papers - First Edition, New Leaf
Hearts - MB die
Flowers - punches & dies
Leaves - Tattered Lace 'foliage die set'
Frantage

For more inspiration hop on over to the main challenge blog to see what my teamies have done with the sketch

OMG, just realised it's December & only 23 sleeps to go!!!!!!!!

Happy Sunday!

Songbird

Good Morning,

It seems to have been ages since I've blogged as my last 2 posts have been scheduled far in advance  due to hospital appointments & treatments. This is also scheduled but only written over the last couple of days.

I am here today with my first challenge with Songbird Challenges.
Not sure if you're familiar with this challenge but each challenge is linked to the name of a song.
This week's song is:

'Dancing Queen'
so we would like to see creations including dancing or a crown or both

This week's fabby sponsor is Saturated Canary who is offering the winner 2 digis of their choice

Krista kindly gave the DT members an image of their choice, I chose the wonderful Zorana a dancing gypsy girl, isn't she just a cutie!

I coloured the image in with Copics & chalks. The backing papers are from Raspberry Road  'Timeless Victorian' collection.

The crown was cut out on the silhouette in kraft card to match the mats. I then added a bit of frantage for a bit of interest & an excuse for me to have a bit of a play!!!
The bunting was aslo cut on the silhouette in kraft which I added frantage to and in white with small crowns cut out of which I coloured with copics to match the image.

Cream lace was added along with some flowers for that finishing touch.

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for some super inspiration from the established DT team and the 5 Newbies (of which I am one). Then get crafting and join in this week's super themed challenge.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp # 179

Good Morning,

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend.
I've had a very productive one!
I'm very lucky, as my treatment is due to start next week, my Sister, Niece & Daughter helped me clean my house from top to bottom so that I do not have to bother if I do not feel up to it. They did everything, all the woodwork, windows & all the nooks and cranny's that don't usually get done, they even decluttered a bit, what I don't see doesn't hurt!!!! I kept my eyes shut.

Over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp we have a new challenge starting today with a super sketch from the lovely Sam for us to play with:

and here's what I came up with:

Colouring medium - Copics & chalks
Paper - a free download from scrapsmart & is absolutely ideal for Breast Care Awareness cards
Flowers - a mixture of die cuts & punched
Leaves - MB Phlox die
Sentiment - Computer generated

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for more details & inspiration from my talented teamies.

Have a great day!

The sun has arrived at last! It's amazing how a bit of sunshine can make you feel so much better.

All the Birthday's come at once, April & May are really busy for me, cake, cake & more cake then nothing till November. Well all Birthdays need a card and here's one I made for my other Daughter this week. Her favourite colour is coral which I started off doing, however it ended up a bit orange.

I have added a piece of lace, some brown gingham ribbon and a couple of MB die hearts with an added pearl to finish off.

Good Afternoon,

Another wasted day waiting for the workmen. I phoned them late morning to find out what was going on to find out they're not coming till Monday. They say they've been trying to phone me but I know that's not true as I've had my phone on me 24/7, yes I took it to bed with me in case they phoned early in the morning. I waffling......sorry

My card today has been made with the challenge over @ Totally Gorjuss in mind, pink & green and this is surely that! This is a colour combo that I don't usually go for so this was quite challenging for me but I think it's turned out OK!
