Laser Cut Butterflies

Good Evening,

My day today did not go to plan. I was supposed to have a stall at the local fun day today which my Granddaughter was very excited about. She stayed an extra night this weekend so that she could come and help me, however due to the weather very windy and showers on and off we went to buy her school uniform instead.

I wanted to share this card with you to get constructive feedback from some creative people.

My Daughter designed the laser cut panel for me on the silhouette. It started of just the double loop design which she was going to stick separate butterflies to. However, being the perfectionist she is, She decided that it would be better to add the solid butterfly to the panel and mount a laser cut butterfly on top for a bit of dimension. The panel has then been mounted onto a silver mirri  background as the card was for a silver wedding. The sentiment was computer generated and has been mounted onto silver mirri then a white mat. Gems have been added to the butterflies bodies for that finishing touch

Here is another one in different colour,

Please, if you have the time & an opinion could you leave her some constructive criticism for which she thanks you for.

Fairy

Good Morning,

A bit of a wet one here in Northampton. I hope it dries up as I have a stall at a fun day on Monday.

My card to day is a shaped card using The Polka Doodles fairy from the Paper Boutique vol 2 CD. My Daughter, who is a whizz with the silhouette gave me a little help. She took the template over to the silhouette to be cut out (this can be done by hand). It was cut out using different papers for the layers of the dress that were printed from a Do Crafts CD (woodland friends I think). The hair,  face, arms & legs were cut out on white card and was then coloured in with pro markers. The wings have been glittered with glamour dust and the crown has been cut out of silver mirri card and been embellished with gems.

I used the same paper I used for the fairy's dress and embossed paper on the easel card before adding the fairy. The sentiment was computer generated and an organza ribbon & bow has been added for that finishing touch. I think any little girl would love this card, what do you think?

I would like to welcome my new followers, I hope you like what you see.

Thank you for all your lovely comments, I really enjoy reading them.

New Home

Good Morning,

It looks like another sunny one! Hope it stays for the Bank Holiday weekend

Today's card has been made following the sketch & theme (get  krafty) at this weeks challenge over @ Willow Sketchie. The image is one of Sharon's printed off the Double Sprinkle of Kraft CD & has been coloured with pro markers. The paper is printed off the Forever Friends CD free with a recent magazine & the brown paper has been embossed with the swiss dots folder. The flowers have been punched out and a gem has been added to the centre. The sentiment was computer generated

I need to get ready for work now, perhaps I might get there early for once! I really don't know what I do in the mornings, I get up early but am always rushing to get out of the door .
Hope you all have a lovely day and if the laptop is free when I get home I am coming for a nosey round your blogs. See you later!

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #120

Good Morning this bright & sunny Sunday morning,

Hope you are all well and ready to get crafting as we have a fab sketch over @ Sunday Sketch & Stamp for you to work with this week. Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo, take a look at their store, they've got some fantastic digis for you to choose from.

Here's my card  using Ava & Deacon Love word

The backing paper & the paper used to make the rosette are printed from the double sprinkle of kraft CD from polka doodles. I then shrunk the papers down & printed them onto 2 images which I then used to paper piece the 'LOVE' word. The rest of the image was coloured in using pro & flexi markers & chalks. I have used a piece of 'swiss dots' embossed paper which has been matted onto a piece of brown card that has been punched using a Martha Stewart punch (double loop I think). The rosette has a large brad in the centre that has a rub on 'you' added to it & has been placed at  the point where the two ribbons meet.

Here is the sketch created by Anne Marie

Hop on over and get inspired by the lovely creations my teamies have made this week. You have to be in it to win it, so get creating to be in with a chance of winning this weeks super prize.

Whoo hoo!

Good Evening,

Just back from London and am absolutely worn out. Just had to post to let you all know it was a great show, we had aisle seats and just 4 rows back from the stage and guess what. The animals, well people dressed as animals came right by us, the costumes were amazing. Alisha's face was a picture, she absolutely loved it and when she saw the hotel room she was so thrilled, it's the first time she's stayed in a hotel. She even wrote a note to  the staff to let them know that she had enjoyed the stay and how nice and cosy the bed was (her words).

To top it off I had a nice surprise when I found out I'd made top 3 over @ Willow Sketchie Challenge for the 3rd week running with my 'Just to say Winnie' card. A big Thank You Ladies!

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #118

Good Morning,

It's time for a new challenge over @ Sunday Sketch & Stamp. This week the sketch has been designed by the lovely Mari.
But first I must say what a great day Team GB had yesterday, didn't they do well! I didn't , I was glued to the TV but my excuse is it's only for 2 weeks.

Well onto my card:
I have used an image from this weeks sponsor Sassy Studio Designs  - Chrissys Prom. I have used 'the out of the box' technique to cut out the image and paper pieced the dress, I have then used promarkers to colour her in. The papers are digi downloads from sassy designs - Elegance, I printed out a sheet which I used for the fancy spellbinders die cut behind the image and also to make the flowers, these were made by tearing a circle of paper into a spiral then rolled up using a quilling tool. The leaves were cut on the silhouette.

Hop on over and look at the wonderful creations team 2 have made to inspire you.
I'm looking forward to seeing what all you talented people out there create
