Songbird

Good Morning,

It seems to have been ages since I've blogged as my last 2 posts have been scheduled far in advance  due to hospital appointments & treatments. This is also scheduled but only written over the last couple of days.

I am here today with my first challenge with Songbird Challenges.
Not sure if you're familiar with this challenge but each challenge is linked to the name of a song.
This week's song is:

'Dancing Queen'
so we would like to see creations including dancing or a crown or both

This week's fabby sponsor is Saturated Canary who is offering the winner 2 digis of their choice

Krista kindly gave the DT members an image of their choice, I chose the wonderful Zorana a dancing gypsy girl, isn't she just a cutie!

I coloured the image in with Copics & chalks. The backing papers are from Raspberry Road  'Timeless Victorian' collection.

The crown was cut out on the silhouette in kraft card to match the mats. I then added a bit of frantage for a bit of interest & an excuse for me to have a bit of a play!!!
The bunting was aslo cut on the silhouette in kraft which I added frantage to and in white with small crowns cut out of which I coloured with copics to match the image.

Cream lace was added along with some flowers for that finishing touch.

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for some super inspiration from the established DT team and the 5 Newbies (of which I am one). Then get crafting and join in this week's super themed challenge.

Friday Sketch Challenge #55

Good Morning,

I have my first cycle of treatment this morning so have left this post in Mr Bloggers hands to publish  for me, fingers crossed!!!

Today see's the start of a new challenge over at Friday Sketch Challenge. You want to see the sketch I here you say, so here goes.

This week we are sponsored by 2Cute Ink who is offering 2 digis to this weeks winner

Here's my card using Sewing Cat

The image was coloured with Copics & the pin head has had some glossy accents added to it. The backing paper was embossed with the button box folder from Embossalicious. The tape measure embellie was a freebie from Nitwits. The sentiment was computer generated before being die cut with a tag die, not sure of the make.

Have a great weekend everyone,
I promise I will try and get round to visit you all over the W/E.

Shape up @ MAWTT

Good Morning,

Today see's a new challenge over @ Moving Along With The Times.

This week's hostess is the lovely Laurie who has chosen us a theme that definitely challenged me!

'Shape Up!'
so we want to see anything that not's square

I found this bra template on google, sized it to fit on a 5 x 7" card blank then printed it out on 2 different papers. Breast Cancer Awareness Patterened Design can be downloaded for free here. I then paper pieced this to the card base lining up the straps with the crease. I then cut round the template and free-handed a cleavage shape (not bad even though I say so myself).

To finish off I printed off a sentiment and added a few punched flowers & die cut leaves for that finishing touch.

I am using this card to send my thanks to the super Breast Care Nurses that have given me so much help & support over the last few months. They were/are absolutely fantastic, I couldn't have had better care & the little things they did stick in my mind (turning my clothes in the right way ready to put back on). I do not think they get enough recognition  for what they do.

There is also a super prize up for grabs
 2 Penny Black Stamps
aren't they just so sweet!

Have a great day!

I Have Some News!

Good Evening,

A very sore one for me!
I've been to the dentist today and had a tooth taken out, so spent the afternoon sleeping it off.

However I'm here now to share some exciting news with you.

I applied to join the DT over at Songbird Challenges a while ago.
I was thrilled to receive an email to say I had made it onto the team and of course I accepted

My first post @ Songbird will be Tuesday 29th October.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp # 179

Good Morning,

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend.
I've had a very productive one!
I'm very lucky, as my treatment is due to start next week, my Sister, Niece & Daughter helped me clean my house from top to bottom so that I do not have to bother if I do not feel up to it. They did everything, all the woodwork, windows & all the nooks and cranny's that don't usually get done, they even decluttered a bit, what I don't see doesn't hurt!!!! I kept my eyes shut.

Over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp we have a new challenge starting today with a super sketch from the lovely Sam for us to play with:

and here's what I came up with:

Colouring medium - Copics & chalks
Paper - a free download from scrapsmart & is absolutely ideal for Breast Care Awareness cards
Flowers - a mixture of die cuts & punched
Leaves - MB Phlox die
Sentiment - Computer generated

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for more details & inspiration from my talented teamies.

Have a great day!

I would like to enter:

Spooktastic times @ MAWTT

Good Morning,

There's a great new challenge starting today over at Moving Along With the Times
Hazel is our hostess this week and she has chosen us the theme

'Spooktastic Times...'

So we would like to see all your Halloween Theme creations, not too scary please!!!!!

I have used a digi 'Ursulas Witch' that I got from the Digi Garden, however the store has sadly closed. The image was coloured with Copic's & chalks before being cut out. I copied the spider from her hat which I enlarged, coloured, glittered & cut out to use as embellies.

The sentiment was cut out on the silhouette, the top layer was cut out in white and coloured with markers to match the image. The backing papers are a free download  from Bearly Mine & have been mounted onto silver mirri then black card. Ursula has been added to the card using folded card that flattens for easy posting.

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for more spooky inspiration.

Enjoy your day!

MAWTT is Back!!!!

Good Morning,

A very happy one for me because MAWTT is back with our first challenge after our summer break.
To get us going Hazel has chosen everybody's favourite theme:

'Anything Goes'

For my card I have used a digi stamp from Wee Stamps called Heidi. Isn't she just the sweetest, looking so cosy with those furry hand warmer! I coloured her in with Copics & chalks and of course I added some glamour dust. The papers are from a pad I have had for a while now from HOTP, I have actually been brave & started using them at last instead of looking at them and packing them away again!. The snowflake is cut out using spellbinder dies, glittered with glamour dust, layered together and a gem added to the centre. The snowflake border is cut out with a MB die. I also cut it out in a pearly white paper and used the stars in the background of the image.

This week's challenge is sponsored by

The prize is a super K and Company Kit

and don't forget we choose our top 3!

Hop on over to the main challenge blog where you will find lots of inspiration as both teams are taking part this week. 6 new DT members have joined us during the summer break so why not have a nosey round there blogs too.

Can't wait to see all your wonderful entries!
