And what a snowy one it is here in Northampton. I hope you are all keeping warm, what an excuse to stay indoors and craft! Not convinced that I'll get to Rome this week, ever the optimist!!!

Friday Sketch Challenge #39 (reminder)

God Morning,

I'm a day late posting this reminder card as I've had a stupid accident with my laptop. I only went a closed the lid with a pen on the key board, how stupid was that! Anyway I'm using my laptop through the TV screen (sure I won't be very popular) but needs must.

An Easter Gift

Good Afternoon,

I'm back again with a selection of money wallets I was commissioned to make.

I have used a couple images from DigiStamp Boutique (the 2 centre ones) The Snuggles-bunny & Chirp & Love Nest and also their Easter Collction 2 . All the images were coloured with a selaction of copic's, pro's & chalks. Due to the bleed these were then scanned in and  my Daughter created a print and cut file adding borders and text which were cut on  the silhouette. A little bit of glitter was added for that finishing touch. 

Just need to package them up & deliver them, hope they like them!

Here's my card:

I have used Do Crafts - Wellington, Past Times Collection to print off the papers and decoupage. All the paper layers were distressed with a craft knife and tea dye distress ink from Ranger. The 'D' 'A' 'D' brads are yonks old from papermania not sure if they're still available & the celebrate stamp is from Polka Doodles.

Is anyone going to the NEC? I'm going tomorrow, Not to buy anything, just to look!!!!

It's Candy Time

Hasn't the weather been very changeable this week?

Not sure what' happening with Mr Blogger at the moment but I am having problems posting, visiting you all & commenting. Bloom Beautifully

I recently bought this digi after browsing your lovely blogs and discovered tiddlyinks images actually come in digi form, don't know why I thought they were only available in rubber.. I went over to their store where it took me ages to decide which one to purchase, so many great images I could have gone wild.

Anyway I really enjoyed colouring in this image so went a little wild and coloured in several!

This one I used copics, her dress & bows are several shades of yellow & on her dress I used the clear ink to remove some of the colour to give a spotty effect. The flowers were coloured with a small amount of the same yellow picked upon the tip of the clear pen to give a really soft touch

Friday Sketch Challenge #38

There's a new challenge starting today over @ Friday Sketch Challenge & it's my sketch you have to play with this week, hope you like it!

This week we have a super prize for you from our sposor

After watching Sheena on create & craft playing with different mediums I decided to have a play!

I got my 'sticky finger' inks out, sprayed them on my kitchen worktop (I used green & yellow). I then wet a piece of white paper/card which I laid on top of the ink. Perfect pearls was then sprayed onto this to give a golden shimmer & this was left to dry, speeded up with the heat gun. 

Following this week's sketch I cut the paper I created square and cut in half diagonally, this was distressed round the edges to give a bit of definition,. This was then mounted onto a black mat.

I used 'drop tree' rubber stamp from Flonz to stamp the image with a clear ink. Black embossing powder was then applied to this which was heated with a heat gun. I cut the image out with a spellbinders die and applied more gold perfect pearls round the edge, this was then mounted onto a black scalloped circle mat.

The image was attached to the card base with foam pads, craft cards candi was added along with a heat embossed sentiment from HOTP.

I had such a great time getting messy that I got more inks out and coloured more papers. Just need to use them now!
