It's Sketchy @ MAWTT

Good Morning Afternoon,
As publish this did not. Not sure whether it was my fault or Mr Blogger.

Today I am here to tell you new challenge at
We have a sketch for you this week from the lovely Hazel:

It's a super sketch with so many possibilities.
Here is what I did with the sketch:

The image is from Passion for Stamps & is called 'Cosmos'. I added the sentiment before printing off making sure it would fit the circle die I intended to use. I then printed off the flower heads again which I cut out and layered up to give a bit of dimension. The image was coloured with markers and distress stickles were added to the flower heads which unfortunately changed the colour slightly. The papers are from Shabby Princess and were a free download some time ago but possibly still available

Laurie has very kindly put up this lovely embellishment set  as prize this week
So hop on over to the challenge blog for more great inspiration from my talented teamies and get those entries in. Can't wait to see your creations!

They say things come in 3's

Good Evening my crafty friends,
I must firstly apologise for being a rubbish blogger, in my mind I want to post & comment but physically I just can't find it in me
I never got back as promised with my news yesterday as I slept most of the day, as I have done most days. I really don't know why I'm feeling so tired and when I am awake have no energy to do anything.

Anyway I am now here to let you know my news which I think might be a bit of a shock as I've not mentioned it previously.
Last Monday I had some good news. After being awake all night waiting the phone call finally came just after 7.00am to let me know that my Son & his partner Gemma were the proud parents at last. I say at last because the expected date was 27.1.14 making the birth 14 days late.

Harvey James was born at 6.55 am  weighing 6 lb 15 oz.
Isn't he a cutie!

Later the same day I went to the hospital convinced my treatment wouldn't happen, however it did. So that means I've had all 6 cycles that were prescribed. Just 15 days Radiotherapy to go then I can think about getting back to work & my normal routine. Plus lots of cuddles!!!!

So that was 2 bits of good news. But it didn't stop there.

When I got home the post had arrived and on opening it I found a cheque for nearly £140. The letter said that it was a refund for an over  payment I had made at some point, still not sure what for but I'm not complaining just planning my purchase!!!!

Have a good evening

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #194

Good Afternoon crafters,
Hope you are all well & keeping dry & warm. Hopefully you're all having a great weekend.

Today I'm here to remind you Marie has made us a new sketch to play with over at
Sunday Sketch & Stamp
how fab is that:

This is what I did with the sketch:
Again I have used paper scraps from my box, they were printed from Double Sprinkles of Kraft CD by Polka Doodles. The image is by Bugaboo - Ballerina Brat & has been coloured with Markers & Chalks. The sentiment was computer generated. All layers have been layered onto brown pearlescent paper then onto pink card. The flowers have been cut out of vellum using a mixture of dies & punches. The flourishes were cut out using a MB die.

Have a great day
Hopefully I'll be back later with my week old news.

Hey Cutie @ TPC

Good Morning my crafty friends,

It's that time again! This is a scheduled post as I'm at the hospital for my review before my final treatment which is due on Monday. I can't believe how quick those 6 treatments have gone!

Vellum/parchment @ MAWTT

Good Morning,

I'm here today to let you know there's a great new challenge starting today over at
This week Wendy is hosting her first challenge since joining the DT and she has chosen:

Vellum/Parchment

I have used red card to mat embossed vellum on to (embossing folder used - tied together), I glued the vellum to the card where the pattern meets then used viva pearls to hide the glue. I stamped and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder then mounted this onto a red circle, gluing it only round the edges. A red scalloped circle frame was then glued over the top, again to hide the glue. A selection of double layer die cut flowers with viva pearl centres and leaves were then added for that finishing touch.

Can't wait to see what you create, so why not hop on over to the challenge blog for more super examples from the talented DT
