Friday Sketch Challenge #31 reminder

Good Evening,

I feel so guilty as I'm really late posting this. I should have posted this Friday morning as it's a halfway reminder card for  Friday Sketch Challenge following Debra's sketch.  However I have had a raging toothache & could not concentrate to do anything so perhaps I can be forgiven

I have used Christmas Robin's Delight, an image from this week's sponsor, which I have coloured in with Spec's and added some glamour dust.
The papers are from Nitwits

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #134

Good Morning,

A very windy one it is here in Northampton this Sunday morning!
It also looks like more rain is on it's way.

There's a new challenge starting today over @ Sunday Sketch & Stamp
This is the card I have made:

following Anne-Marie's super sketch which I have rotated

I have used  Bella Da Snowlady image from this week's sponsor Robyn's Fetish

I have used Pro's & Spec's & a touch of chalk to colour in the image. What Christmas image would be complete without a bit of sparkle? So I have added a bit of glamour dust to the hat

The sentiment was heat embossed with brass WOW powder onto the same paper used for all the mats. This was then cut out by hand.

The papers are from a HOTP pad I have had for years but never used

Hop on over to see the wonderful creations from my teamies

I would like to enter:

One stop craft - Vintage Christmas
Brown Sugar - Anything goes
Crafty Creations - Christmas is coming
Diva's by Design - use 2 or more patterened papers

Friday Sketch Challenge #31

Good Morning,

Hope the rain stays away today, hasn't it been so wet!
I feel so sorry for everyone who have had to stay in temporary accommodation due to flood alerts. Can't imagine what it would be like, I like to be at home.

It's time for a new challenge over at Friday Sketch Challenge by Debra

How great is that, I enjoyed using it so much I have used it several times more. For my card today I have rotated the sketch

Ladybug crafts ink has sponsored us this week and she very generously gave the DT Christmas Delights to play with, I chose Handbag Tree Delight coloured with Specs & Pros. I have added glamour dust for that bit of sparkle, you can't do Christmas without sparkle!
The paper has been embossed with an A4 double sided folder from spellbinders, I think is was called dainty dots. This has been mounted onto red card, the red dots were cut out of the same card. The holly leaves were cut on the silhouette and have been mounted onto a double layer of ribbon.

Hop on over to see what the talented DT have created

Good Evening,

A week off work which is greatly needed! I've got a hair, doctors & opticians appointment as well as a day Christmas shopping planned. Hopefully time to play will also feature.

I was asked to make a card for a friend to give to her Step Son. She gave me the wording for the greeting she wanted on the card and said that he likes skateboarding. This is what I came up with.

Colouring medium - Pro's & Spec's
Papers - printed form my new Wellington CD
Stars - cut on silhouette

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #133

Good Morning,

Well craft fair over and it was a very successful one. That means I can now play rather than go like the clappers. It also means more time to blog so I will be round to visit you all shortly.

There's a new challenge starting today over @ Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge. For the second week running it is being sponsored by The Digi Garden, thank you Jacqui, you're a star

Here's my card
using Shaylee, isn't she just a sweetie!

I have coloured her in with pro markers. The stars I actually printed and cut on the silhouette, I very pleased with myself as this is the first time I have managed the whole process without help. Glamour dust has been applied to the stars & Shaylee's wings for that bit of sparkle. The papers have been printed from the do craft CD 'woodland friends' & 'tatty ted'. I only printed off the size I needed as my box of scraps is overflowing.

Why not hop on over and join this weeks challenge, can't wait to see your creations.

Friday Sketch Challenge reminder

Good Morning,

Last day at work today for one whole week, hooray.
It's been a stressful 2 weeks with lots of changes taking place, I sure need some time off. Not been in the mood to blog so sorry I've not been to visit for a while, but hopefully that will change.

Today I have a card to share with you using this fortnights sketch over @ Friday Sketch Challenge that Janine has designed for us

I was having a look through my files the other day and came across this wonderful image from DigiStamp Boutique, it was a freebie that I grabbed last year but never got round to using.
Isn't it just a little sweetie

I used spec's to colour it in & added some sparkle to the hats with glamour dust, my dining room is covered in sparkle, so is my kitchen floor & I am too! Well it is nearly Christmas

Hop on over and join in this week's challenge, there is a prize from Noor Design up for grabs.

GDT Songbird Challenge

Good Morning,

I've had a crafting weekend with my Daughter Kaylee. She helped me get a batch of Christmas cards, gift tags & money wallets ready for the craft fair I'm doing next weekend.

Laura from Songbird Challenge asked me to do a GDT spot & of course I said YES.

The challenge theme is a song title and this week that is:

'Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend'

For my card, I opted to use Excecutive Woman from this weeks sponsor The Paper Shelter She has been coloure in with Spectrum Noirs & a touch of chalk. This is the first time that I have coloured her up and I'm sure to colour her again she's so lovely to colour.

I've used some digital papers from Sassy Designs  and some white paper that has been embossed with a spellbinder folder. I have embelished the card with cherry blossom flowers & leaves (both a memory box die), punched flowers & butterflies (cut on the silohette). All have had clear gems added for a bit of sparkle.
I hope that I have given you a little bit of inspiration. You can find more beautiful creations on the challenge blog.
Have a good day

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #131

Good Morning,

Well what a wet night it was last night, started raining  as I was dropping Matthew (my Son) Alisha (my Granddaughter) off at the firework display. Alisha told me it also hailed while she was there. They still had a great time & spent time on the fair afterwards, Alisha went on the bungie thing, she's braver than me! I don't like heights

There's a new challenge starting today over @ Sunday Sketch & Stamp. This week Marie has designed us a wonderful sketch to play with, I enjoyed using it so much that I've made several cards with it and I'm sure to use it again.

Here's my card

The digi has been printed out in greyscale and I have added touches of colour with aqua markers & glamour dust (which is not clear in the photo) to several elements. The papers are the 'Cute as a Button collection from Raspberry Road. The sentiment is computer generated.

Hop on over a see what the talented DT team has created.
Then why not enter and be in with a chance of winning a prize from this weeks sponsor Sassy Studio

Help!

Good Afternoon,

A quick post to ask for your advise. When I take photo's I go outside on the table or at the back door (with the door open) to get good light (this morning rain was coming in). I have to do this when I get in from work but since the clocks have gone back  this is proving to be impossible as when I get in it's dark. I have taken a couple in the morning before I leave for work but I have to wait till I'm literally leaving for the best light.

Soooo, I'm am looking to buy a light that I can use but have no idea what to buy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Good Evening,

Winter's definitely here, I don't like the cold!!!
But it is an excuse to stay indoors and craft, not that I need an excuse.
It's taken over my life at the moment as I've done/doing a few Autumn Fair's.

This is the first card  I've made with my new 'Wellington Past Times Collection' CD from Do Crafts

The edges of the picture and sentiments have been distressed using the blade on my scissors, then all elements have had distress ink added
