Sunday Sketch & Stamp # 167

Good Morning to all my crafty friends in blogland,

We certainly did get rain yesterday! It started early evening along with the thunder and lightening.
Both me and the cat found it scary, I don't like storms!

Anyway today Sam has given us a great sketch to play with over @ Sunday Sketch & Stamp.

It was great to work with and one I'll definitely use again & again

Don't forget, as the challenge name say's, you need to use the sketch and a stamp somewhere on your card. I used a digi stamp from The Paper Shelter - In The 20's that I won recently. I used markers & chalks to colour her in before cutting her out with a spellbinder oval die. The papers are from Raspberry Road - Love Lives Here and was free with a recent  Quick Cards mag. The sentiment was computer generated by me. The roses were made using torn circles and the leaves were cut on the silhouette then both was coloured with markers.

Hop on over to the main challenge blog here to see what my teamies have done with the sketch.
You have until 23.59 next Saturday night to get your entry in & maybe win a fab prize form this weeks sponsor.

Have a great day!

Rose Blossom

Good Morning,

It looks like it's going to be another sunny one although I think rain has been forecast.

Today I am here to share a card with you that I made when having a play, doing something without a reason apart from needing some family cards for my stock box.

The image is Rose Blossom from Sheri Baldy which I think is ideal for both little & big girls. I have coloured her in with copic's, pro's & spec's  & chalks. The backing papers were printed from the Forever Friends Celebration CD from Do Crafts and with their colouriser I was able to print off a matching plain paper to use for matting. The image was also created in the Do Crafts programme. The leaves were cut on the silhouette in a white paper then coloured with markers. The flowers are 3 layers of Joy craft die cuts with a card candi centre coloured to match the image with markers.

Enjoy your day!

FSC Sketch #48 reminder

Good Morning crafters,

How glorious has the weather been this week!

I can't believe it's been 1 week since I last posted and that was scheduled (Mr Blogger behaved and did his stuff). I've been convalescing after surgery, making the most of the sunshine whilst taking it easy (something I find quite difficult). I do feel guilty though when people are waiting on me, especially in this heat!
However I do feel I will soon be back to normal and will be round to visit you all very soon.

Any way enough waffle from me, I am here to remind you that there is just one week left to get your entries in using my sketch over at Friday Sketch Challenge

A simple one! so come on get crafting and link up your entry to be in with a chance of winning the prize on offer from

For my card I used Papers & the image from the Boofle Collection CD from Do Crafts.
The sentiment is from crafter companion.
Then I added some buttons threaded with bakers twine from my stash.

Have a great day everyone!
I'll be round to visit you all very soon.

Handmade Flowers @ Totally Papercrafts

Good morning everyone,

This is my first scheduled post for today so fingers crossed it will go live when it should do.

Alexandra is hosting the new challenge over at Totally Papercrafts and the chosen theme is:

Make Your Own Flowers

Well anyone that follows my blog will know that I quite often make my own flowers, I especially like making rolled roses from a torn circle, so easy but so effective. I have also made some daisy type flowers using a double layer of both die cut & punched flowers which I have added a mixture of different coloured pearls to. The leaves are die cut from the die in the MB phlox set.

The backing paper is Fruit Salad Papers - from Raspberry Road.
Then to finish off I have added some glamour dust butterflies that were cut on the silhouette.

Why not hop on over to the main challenge blog for some more inspiration form my team mates.

Please pop back later for my second scheduled post for today.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp#165 DT Card

Good Morning,

Warm enough for you all?
My back garden is south facing so we get the sun all day long. I do find myself sitting in the front room to cool down quite a lot. My poor puss cat didn't know what to do with herself either yesterday.

Anyway:
Sunday means a new challenge over @ Sunday Sketch & Stamp
This week's sketch was designed by me so it's nice and simples

And here's my card:

I have used Theodore - Birthday Sign from Bugaboo which I coloured with Copics & chalks. The letters I have then added distress stickles to, which gives a crystallised effect to.
The papers are a free download from The Shabby Princess which I have also used to cut out stars on the silhouette. Bakers twine and buttons have been added for that finishing touch

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for some more inspiration from team 2 DT.

Have a great day!

A Hug for You

Good Morning My Crafty Friends,

Sorry I've not been round to visit you all of late but I've had things on my mind that have taken all my energy this last week. But you know they say crafting is a good therapy and being part of some great DT teams gives me something positive to focus on.

I am here to share a card with you I made following this fortnights sketch over @ Friday Sketch Challenge & to remind you all you have 1 more week to get your entries in. The Stamp Fairy are sponsoring us this week and offering one randomly chosen winner $10.00 to spend in store.

I have used Mimi Teddy 2 on my card which I coloured in with Copics & chalks & the dress and shoes have been paper pieced. The papers are a free download from The Shabby Princess. The image has been mounted onto a rosette that was cut and scored on the silhouette using a design that my Daughter created for me. The flowers have been punched/die cut and layered together. Card candi and viva pearls were added to the centres of the flowers.

Have a fab weekend everyone!

Friday Sketch Challenge # 47 DT Card

Good Morning,

I'm back with my second post of the day. Please scroll down for my TPC DT card

Friday Sketch Challenge has a new sketch for you to play with which the lovely Christine has designed for us

to go with this super sketch we have a super sponsor.

The DT were kindly allowed to choose an image to use for this week's DT card.
I chose Mimi Teddy 2 and to go with it I used the free sentiment from the same collection. I have colouerd the image with Copics & chalks, the dots on Mimi's dress were created using the clear copic pen which removed the colour. Both the image & the sentiment were cut out leaving a thin white border round the outside.

The papers are a free download 'Not too shabby- Penelope' from The Shabby Princess.
A die cut frame was mounted on top of the papers along with a ribbon before adding the image which was raised using foam pads. A bow and some pearls were added for that finishing touch.

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for more fab inspiration from my teamies.

Have a great weekend!

Totally Papercrafts DT Card

Good Morning,

Summer has arrived! Isn't it lovely to see a bit of sunshine.

There's a new challenge over @ Totally Papercrafts

This week's hostess is Carol who has chosen us great theme:

'Lets here it for the Boys'

My chosen image is 'Little Cowboy' from The Paper Shelter. I have used Copics, ProMarkers & chalks to colour in the image which I then cut out leaving a white border round the edge.

. The wood grain paper is one I created from sample image & the spotty one is a scrap from my ever growing box. I have used kraft card to mount all layers on to and the stars and banner shadows were also cut out of the same card on the silhouette.

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for more super inspiration form my talented teamies.

This week we are being sponsored by
