Button it!

Good Morning Lovelies,
I hope you are all managing to stay warm.

I would like to share my DT make for the new challenge over at

Our hostess this week is the lovey Debs with the theme

'Button It'

Debs is not being rude, she wants to see your creations that have at least one button on them.

I decided to get messy.
Firstly I cut some shapes using the silhouette, I then cut some mats.
I stamped flourishes onto 3 of the shapes and heat embossed these with a clear powder.
Now the messy bit!
I got out the foam and distress inks, a selection of greens and inked over the whole shape.
The embossed shape resisted the ink leaving a white image.
The mats were inked on the edges only with the darkest green ink & I stamped a sentiment using a Polka Doodles stamp on one. The flourishes were mounted onto the other 3.
I matted an embossed dotty background onto a kraft card, added the shape with foam and added a button to the center.

I was quite pleased with the out come so made a second one in black & white. No heat embossing or inking this time so much quicker to make.

I do hope you will join in this week!
Just to get your creative juices going hop on over to the main challenge blog to see what my talented teamies have created.

Puss in Hat

Good Afternoon,

Not like me to post on a Monday afternoon is it?
Well I will be doing so from now on as I have been asked to join the
How exciting is that.

My first challenge theme with the team is a favourite with everyone
Anything Goes
and is being sponsored by:

GERDA'S DOODLES

For my card I have used an image from the sponsor and is called Cat in St Patrick's Hat.
I have coloured the image with markers. Green  and kraft card with a bit of K & company checked paper are the main materials used. The kraft was cut on the silhouette using and free doily file downloaded from birds cards and a star buckle that I designed. The sentiment was stamped using a Polka Doodle stamp.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the team for inviting me to join them.
I'm looking forward to the challenges.
Why not hop on over to see what the talented DT have created

Have a lovely week.

FSC #86

Good Evening,

I am here this evening with my DT card for the new challenge starting over at
This weeks sketch has been designed by the lovely Rachael
Lots of scope with this one don't you think.

Fitztown are offering one lucky winner 3 digital images of their choice!
The DT were given a digi to use from Fitztown, I was given  Fae 33

I decided to paper piece the dress and hat and colour the rest of the image with markers.
The dress was printed onto patterned paper 3 times and was layered up using pinflair.
The papers are  -  My Mind's Eye - Bloom

Glamour dust was added to the wings of Fae.
Flowers are a mixture of punches, dies & cut files.
The sentiment was computer generated.

Hop on over to the main challenge blog for more samples of images from Fitztown.

I would like to thank you all for your kind comments on my last post.

Have a good weekend

A Big Thank You!

Good Evening lovely peeps,

I've had a lot going on the past 18 months.
9 months off work while having treatments. Graded return to work over the next 9 months.
Then in May not able to drive due to numbness in my feet. Doctors thought this was a side effect of the chemo which should hopefully improve within 6 months. It hasn't so public transport for me which extends my working day quite considerably.

I made this some time ago but never got round to posting it. But thought I would post it to say 'Thank You' to all my blogging buddies who have stuck by me and come to visit and leave lovely comments which have really cheered me up. I know I haven't been the best at commenting during this time but intend to put this right over the next few months.

All pieces were cut/printed using the silhouette.
The papers are Garden Party from Dovecraft.
A button and pearl were added to the flower centers
Easy peasy!

Photo Inspiration @ MAWTT

Good Morning,

I'm hostess over at Moving Along With The Times this week.

The theme I have chosen is:
Photo/Colour inspiration
And here it is:

Perfect for Shabby chicPerfe design - pink and turqoiuse colors

I have had a little play with the decoupage pad that I bought for Alisha for Christmas, I did ask first!!!
I had a card sent to me for my birthday from my team mate Sue made from this kit which Alisha absolutely loved, so I thought I would get her a kit to play with. The only trouble is she takes over my craft room most weekends when she comes to stay.

The decoupage kit is from Santoro called Mirabelle
The papers were a Christmas present, 12x12 My Mind's Eye - Bloom
Ribbons & pearls from stash
Sentiment - Crafters Companion stamp, stamped onto decoupage waste.

Hop on over to see some fab inspiration from Team A

Good Evening my crafty friends,

I hope you all had a fabby Christmas and New Year and have some new crafty stash to play with.

Seems ages since I wrote a post or made any comments, but with the run up to Christmas and being poorly and in bed for 4 days over the New Year I ask your forgiveness, pretty please :)
I don't do NY resolutions but I am going to try and be a more active blogger this year.
